Bringing Immigration to the Presidential Debate

.Illegal immigration affects every state in the union. Cities are being inundated with this crisis affecting every aspect of our society. It is affecting millions of American families whose head wage earners have lost jobs in construction, fast food, meat packing, retail and factory work. Yet, Bush and all major Democratic presidential contenders support illegal immigration. Their feckless speeches support amnesty for the 10 to 13 million illegal aliens residing in our country—while stealing jobs from fathers, mothers and students—and especially our poorest Americans. In the meantime, the Zogby and Roper Polls show 70% of Americans want illegal immigration stopped and legal immigration reduced to under 200,000 per year.

While the Congress has twiddled its thumbs since 9/11, averages of 2,200 illegal aliens have been crossing our southern border 24/7, 365 days a year. While gray-haired old ladies get patted down at airports, illegals waltz across our borders unchallenged.

With this horrific crisis growing toward 15 million illegal aliens including the crime, disease, job loses, drugs and educational chaos--John Kerry, Al Sharpton, Howard Dean, John Edwards, in fact, none of them have addressed illegal immigration. It’s screaming at them, yet they ignore it. They disregard it while we Americans suffer its growing consequences. The businesses that employ them break federal and state tax laws. They undermine infrastructure of cities that depend on the rule of law and taxation to make their cities operate.

Examples abound! California with three million illegals is $38 billion in debt. Texas with 1.5 million illegals is $12 billion in debt. Colorado with 150,000 illegals is $1 billion in debt. What is it in your state? Astonishingly, none of the presidential candidates will address this crisis. The question is, "WHY?" Where is the disconnect? How can they avoid this issue? How can they avoid what is happening to us? The fact that illegal immigration has imported 16,000 new cases of incurable tuberculosis and 7,000 cases of leprosy in the past three years should bring some attention to this crisis. Since there are over 1.5 million illegal alien school kids in our schools, our kids are one cough or sneeze away from contracting TB. But the national press and TV networks fastidiously ignore it. Why? The answer is, "Money and Power." You could add the world, "Greed!" Men in power are making lots of money off these illegals while we suffer this invasion.

How do we force them to address illegal immigration? The key is millions of us making enough noise thereby forcing them to address this issue. The last chapter in ‘COMMON SENSE ON MASS IMMIGRATION’ addresses what must be done for us to maintain our country--Illegal immigration: "Secure our borders and end illegal immigration. Enforce the ‘invasion’ clause of the U.S. Constitution, Article IV, Section 4: "The United States shall…protect each state against invasion….." Repatriate those here illegally. No more amnesties."

Legal Immigration: "Establish an inclusive ceiling for legal immigration, including refugees. Set this limit at a level of emigration (egress), which is 200,000 annually, so legal immigrants will be admitted at the levels that assimilate and do not expand our population or undercut our job market. End the "chain" migration of relatives, which, like a pyramid scheme, swells immigrant numbers over time. End the Visa lottery, which allows 50,000 indiscriminate people annually from terror supporting countries. Instead, admit people on their merit and desire to become Americans.

If we allow Kerry, Edwards and others to avoid addressing this issue, we are aiding and abetting illegal immigration. If we allow Mexico’s Vincente Fox to keep driving his poorest citizens into our country, now numbering 9.2 million already here--while they send back $15 billion annually to fill his coffers--we aid and abet his agenda against our country. If we allow hundreds of other countries to keep pouring their desperate and endless populations into America, our children will reap a whirlwind of consequences as our country adds 200 million people by mid century. It is a recipe for national suicide and it is proceeding along with frightening speed.
